Bilen Kassie is an attorney who works primarily on affirmative matters. She has a background deeply rooted in international law, human rights, and a commitment to justice. She holds a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law and her academic excellence earned her a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Thereafter, she enrolled in a dual degree program in Rome, Italy where she did her LLM in International, Comparative, and European Union Law at LUISS Guido Carli University.
Prior to joining Murray Osorio as an attorney, Bilen gained experience handling immigration matters working as an intern at Human Rights First. This experience allowed her to work on various aspects of asylum cases. She also interned at the American Bar Association’s Human Rights Center and drafted petitions for clients challenging their detention before the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.
