On February 25, 2025, USCIS announced that it will be creating a new form for undocumented aliens over the age of fourteen who have been in the United States for over thirty days to register with USCIS. It is vital to understand that the form and process are still under development and there are many details that have not been released. The registration form has not been created and the registration requirement is not yet in effect. Please make sure to follow and stay in touch with Murray Osorio across all our platforms to make sure you stay up to date on the most current immigration law developments.
Based on the current information, this registration requirement will likely not apply to individuals who have already been fingerprinted in connection with previously submitted applications, even if they were denied. For example, legal permanent residents (LPRs) will likely not be subject to this registration requirement. Nor will noncitizens who were admitted into the United States on tourist visas (B1/B2), noncitizens who were paroled into the United States, or noncitizens with pending or previous applications before USCIS.
